
Treading the Path: Surviving as a Muslim in the West
The Treading the Path three-day retreat was the first program ever organized by Darul Hikmah. By the grace of Allah, the retreat was a smashing success. Although the program was expected to be small and advertisement was minimal, a huge crowd of youth and adults alike attended the three-day gathering.
Sleeping at the masjid and fulfilling the Sunnah of i'tikaf was part of the program and prominent scholars from around the country, including Shaykh Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf Mangera, Shaykh Amin Kholwadia, and Shaykh Abdoor Rahman Khan attended.

The Forgotten Traditions: Reflecting Upon the Sunnah
The Forgotten Traditions was DH's second three day retreat. This time the theme was about the topic of reviving the beloved Sunnah of the Noble Messenger of Allah, Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The retreat's topics revolved around the importance of each prophetic tradition, how and why they have become lost in our lives, and practical steps that one can take to revive them.
Amongst the speakers who graced the retreat with their presence was Shaykh Ibrahim Memon Madani (Buffalo, NY), Shaykh Minhajuddin Ahmed (St. Louis, MO), Shaykh Omar Hussaini (St. Louis, MO), and Shaykh Abdullah Nana (San Francisco, CA).

The Forgotten Traditions retreat was held in three different cities, amongst them Troy, Michigan near the city of Detroit. Amongst the guest speakers for this retreat were Shaykh Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf Mangera (Santa Barbara, CA), Shaykh Sohel Mangera (Detroit, MI), Shaykh Azeemuddin Ahmed (Chicago, IL), Shaykh Abdul Hakeem Dickenson (Chicago, IL), Shaykh Bilal Ali Ansari (Chicago, IL) and Shaykh Tahir Anwar (San Jose, CA).

The third city in which The Forgotten Traditions was held was St. Louis, MO. The host masjid was the large and spacious Islamic Foundation of Greater St. Louis. Scholars attended from throughout the country and included the likes of Shaykh Mumtazul Haq Nazir (Fresno, CA), Shaykh Mustafa Kamal (Fresno, CA), Shaykh Minhajuddin Ahmed (St. Louis, CA), Shaykh Nawaz Ahmed Khan (San Francisco, CA), Shaykh Azeemuddin Ahmed (Chicago, IL), and Shaykh Omar Hussaini (St. Louis, MO).
